Alexander McQueen's fall 2011 shoes are beautiful works of art which have mesmerised me with their unusual heal-less designs adorned with pony hair, metal plating, spikes and patterns. The designs are the perfect mix of edgy and elegant.

Whilst Iris Van Herpen's S/S and A/W shoe designs are stunning and reveal a small glimpse of the intricate sculptural collections they are part of. So delicious are these shoes, that if they met my feet I'd have to wear them to bed...

Beyoncé - Run the World

Beyoncé's new video is out - 'Run the World'. However I'm a bit bored of pop stars taking underground tracks which do well in their own right and sticking some lyrics over the top to make it commercial, but it sounds ok.

I find it unusual that Beyoncé gives the finger halfway through, grinds on all fours and flashes more arse than usual but I guess she has to step her game up to compete with Rihanna, who I feel the video has taken a lot of inspiration from. She's still got some moves though!

There are some strong 90's fashion influences throughout the video, split dresses being the biggest of them. Beyoncé's black tassel shorts caught my eye the most, I'll be making a pair of those for myself.

Guess she's got a point too, girls do run the world...

Two tracks which have engaged me this week are Warpaint's 'Undertow' and Ghostpoet's 'Cash & Carry Me Home'. Both are a bit dreamy and lull you into a nice content state but keep you hooked with the changes in tempo.

Judas

She's one of the most influential icons of the time and as much as some of you may dislike her or not 'get' her I think she's fantastic in this world of generic pop princesses and repetition.

Even if you mute the video, just watch it for the fashion & make-up.
