Born to Die

I didn't want to like Lana Del Rey's new track 'Born to Die' but when I heard it I couldn't help it. I find it less whiny than 'Video Games' which grates on me a bit, mainly since seeing her perform on Jools Holland like she was on tranquillisers, and it being hugely overplayed.

The video's well styled and captures a modern twist on the kitsch American wartime feel reflected in the song, with beautiful set locations and sharp attention to detail.


I'm somewhat amused that even the tigers seem to be yawning in the video though, sometimes you just can't win...
